Netflix has officially dropped the first teaser and poster for its highly anticipated romantic comedy Our Sticky Love (originally developed under the working titles This Shitty Love and Lovestuck), starring Jung Hae-in and Ha Young.
Slated to premiere on August 7, 2026, the teaser gives K-drama fans a chaotic, high-stakes look at what happens when a fierce prosecutor loses her memories and a scruffy small-town boxing coach fabricates a relationship to keep her safe. Here is a breakdown of everything revealed in the newly released teaser.
Watch the teaser here:
The Plot: A “Sticky” Web of Lies and Amnesia
The teaser opens with a stark contrast in tone. We are introduced to Go Eun-sae (Ha Young), a high-powered, sharp-tongued prosecutor from the Anti-Corruption Department, who makes a grand entrance in a sports car. She is tracking a dangerous crime syndicate led by a ruthless mob boss, played by veteran actor Heo Sung-tae.
However, following a mysterious, high-stakes incident, Eun-sae ends up on the run and suffers severe amnesia. When she wakes up in a hospital, she is completely unidentified—she can’t remember her past, and her fingerprints are inexplicably impossible to verify.
Enter Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), a former youth boxing champion turned small-town coach with a shady past as a gang member. Recognizing her as his unrequited first love, Tae-ha makes a split-second decision to protect her from the mob closing in on her. He drops a massive bombshell at her bedside: “You don’t know who I am? I’m your boyfriend.”
High Standards vs. Scruffy Reality
The core humor of the teaser relies on Eun-sae’s retained personality traits despite losing her memory. Even with total amnesia, her high-flying standards remain perfectly intact.
Looking at the unkempt, scruffy Tae-ha, she looks completely unconvinced that someone of her caliber would ever date him. The teaser highlights hilarious bickering as Tae-ha spins a wild yarn, claiming she met him in the mountains and aggressively pursued him first. Trapped without an identity or options, Eun-sae accepts her fate with the deadpan realization: “So, put simply, I’m in a sticky mess.”
The teaser poster further emphasizes this chaotic dynamic. Set against the backdrop of “Gujin Yeot Village”—a quiet country town ironically famous for traditional Korean sticky taffy—the poster sports the tagline:
“No past, no proof. He’s her only cure!”
