Virender Sehwag on His New Role
Having spent years reading bowlers and match situations, Sehwag draws a clear parallel between his cricketing career and the unpredictable nature of Rise and Fall.
Speaking about his debut as a reality TV host, Sehwag shared:
“Cricket has taught me one thing—no match is won before the final ball, and Rise and Fall Season 2 takes that unpredictability to another level. As a host, what excites me about this game is that there are no easy wins and no fixed positions. The biggest challenge isn’t just getting to the top but knowing how to stay there”.
He added that in this game of money and strategy, players must know “when to attack, when to defend, and, most importantly, when to read the game before it reads you”.

Why the Change in Host?
The first season of Rise and Fall, which was won by TV actor Arjun Bijlani, gained massive popularity and was hosted by former BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover. While Grover brought his own brand of bluntness to the table, Sehwag’s entry promises a different flavor. Amogh Dusad, Director and Head of AVOD Content at Prime Video India, noted that Sehwag’s wit, spontaneity, and fearless personality make him a perfect fit for a show where power dynamics are always in motion.
